Mello Torres assisted, as Brazilian counsel, the International Finance Corporation – IFC with a loan in a principal amount of up to BRL 500 million to Afya Participações.
The loan will support Afya’s medical school acquisition program consisting of the acquisition of universities, medical schools, and related or complementary businesses. The transaction was led by partners Clovis Torres and supported by associate Guilherme Carneiro, of Project Finance team.
