Mello Torres advised the sellers on the sale of all shares in Liberum Energia, a renewable energy generation company, to Brazil Green Opportunities, part of the GVS Group.

Mello Torres advised the shareholders of Liberum Energia e Participações S.A., a company operating in the renewable energy sector and owner of several Small Hydropower Plants (CGHs) and Photovoltaic Power Plants (UFVs) in Brazil, on the sale of shares representing 100% of its capital stock to Brazil Green Opportunities Participações S.A., a company of the GVS Group.

The deal involved the negotiation and execution of the share purchase agreement for Liberum Energia e Participações S.A., preceded by a complex corporate restructuring of the sellers’ and buyer’s group companies.

The transaction was led by partners Carlos José Rolim de Mello and Ana França, with support from associate Tomás Amadeo.
