Mello Torres Announces the Arrival of Karin Kern as New Partner in the Corporate Department
With a solid and comprehensive background, Karin brings to Mello Torres over 20 years of experience as a corporate attorney, having held both leadership and technical roles in some of the most strategic and complex transactions in the market.
Throughout her career, Karin has distinguished herself in negotiating and structuring high-impact commercial transactions, including large-scale mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate financing. Her well-rounded profile and strategic vision also extend to contract negotiations in the areas of procurement, third sector relations, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
Before joining the Mello Torres team, Karin spent several years at Vale S.A., one of the world’s largest mining companies, where she led significant and complex negotiations on a global scale. She also gained notable international experience as an International Associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York.
Her arrival marks another step forward in strengthening our team with professionals who combine technical excellence, international experience, and an innovative approach to corporate law.
